Our Mission and Values

Mission

The mission of The Cloth Option is to advocate for and provide access to cloth diapers and other reusable hygiene products to reduce diaper need and protect our environment for future generations.

Vision

The Cloth Option envisions a sustainable world free of diaper need where cloth diapers and similar products are accessible to all, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, gender, or family structure.

Core Values

● Integrity

● Community

● Social Justice & Equity

● Sustainability

The Cloth Option is a collective of cloth diaper advocates working within their local communities to promote cloth diapers as a sustainable alternative to single-use diapers. As part of our mission, we distribute cloth diapers and other reusable hygiene products to families in need, work with like-minded non-profits to address diaper need, and advocate for cloth diapers by way of education and community involvement.

The Cloth Option identifies as secular and social justice-oriented and we welcome advocates of all backgrounds who share our vision of an open, transparent, and accountable organization. Our local advocates are the members of our organization and the organization belongs to them.

Impact

Since our founding in October 2018, we have distributed over 66,000 cloth diapers to hundreds of families in need across the United States, replacing at least 13.3 million disposable diapers.
